About Our Rooms

We have 29 rooms and suites, most at double occupancy only. All with color television, remote control, cable stations, in room AC/Heat units, telephone (local free calls, no long distance surcharge but you will need to use a calling card). We don't have a pool but a beautiful Lake Michigan is just down the street (less than a mile).
Our rooms are European in style, which is to say, they are smaller than today's average motel room. The rooms are very clean and appointed in a comfortable, casual style. As a budget property, we are often priced a good $25 and more below our brand competition, and still offer continental breakfast for carferry passengers and hot breakfast from 8am - 10am. We don't honor discounts or passbook coupons. Traveling with your laptop? We have a wireless connection in the check-in and breakfast area.
Office hours are 8am - 10pm (EST); 24 hour service is not available. Check-in is around 2pm; Check-out is Noon. Weekends (Friday and Saturday), Holidays, Special Events or stays of 3 days or more have a 7 day cancellation; any other stay has a 3 day cancellation. Group bookings are handled separately with varying cancellation policy.
We're all non-smoking and no pets please. Forgot your toothbrush? Personal amenities are available at the front desk. Taking the early morning carferry or have an early appt? We'll give you a wake-up call.
We don't have a pool but we're about a mile from the public beach. There are also long stretches of beach close by where you may even have the beach all to yourself.
Continental breakfast begins early for morning and the hot egg dishes come out of the oven around 8am.

One Queen - A small yet comfortable room for a couple departing on the ferry, spending one night, or for a single person enjoying an extended stay. This is definately a one or two person room and we encourage you to take a larger room if you're staying for more than two nights. Deluxe One Queen - Two cushioned, summer wicker chairs and a cafe table or trunk create a relaxed setting in this comfortable one queen bedroom for two; this is a much larger room than the One Queen.
Two Queen Beds - A standard room with two queen beds, ideally suited for those wanting their own space. Our rooms are double occupancy only. If you're traveling with family or friends, be sure to ask for one of our "Family" rooms. Family rooms are priced a bit higher than the standard rooms but do have a bigger bathroom or bedroom area. Two queen bedrooms are 266 sq. ft.. When planning for your needs, keep in mind two beds in a room means less open floor space.
King Bed - Similar to the Deluxe Queen, two stuffed chairs and footstool create a restful setting in this king bedroom for two. Please go to the bottom of this page and continue to Rates on Page 2.
Suites - Two room suites for couples or two friends have most of the comforts of home; living room, private patio adjacent to the garden, kitchenette with microwave and undercounter fridge, coffee maker stocked with fresh ground coffee, one queen bedroom make these suites just right for an evening away or for an extended stay for one or two people.
We do have one suite with two queen beds and a large living room with kitchenette that will comfortably accommodate a party of four for a night or for an extended stay. This larger suite is 775 sq. ft..
Bathrooms - By national chain standards, our bathrooms are small, yet they are all nicely tiled. Most have walk-in showers only but some do have a tub/shower combination. Please let our staff know your preference when reserving.

Most rooms are double occupancy only; a limited number of rooms accommodate up to 4 people with a $12 extra person charge during the week and $20 each Friday or Saturday, holidays or special event weekends. As an "economy" property, we do not offer discounts but do make every effort to keep our rates low; no pets please. All rooms are non-smoking. Rates are subject to change.
